Robinsons Galleria launches indoor pet park

ROBINSONS Galleria in Quezon City is launching its Pet Park at level three of the mall with a special program on Nov. 27, starting at 11 a.m. The colorful indoor pet park has a tube tunnel, a dog walk ramp, and other obstacles where dogs can have fun. On opening day, visitors can get exclusive freebies from Top Breed. Pet owners can also avail of free anti-rabies vaccination and deworming with a purchase of two Topbreed products and Shield+ ethyl alcohol. Pet owners can also avail of low-cost veterinary services like 5-in-1 vaccination and microchipping courtesy of Pawssion Project; sign up for free vet consultation; and participate in the games and pet blessing. For the rest of the day, pet owners can listen to experts regarding responsible pet ownership. Dr. Nielsen Donato, wildlife veterinarian and TV personality, will be talking about pet nutrition. Celebrity dog trainer Bong Ledesma will show basic tricks for new pet owners as well as the do’s and don’ts when traveling with your pets or bringing them to indoor places like Robinsons Malls. Journalist Charie Villa will inspire pet owners with her own pet parenting journey, espe-cially when she retired from the newsroom and moved to a farm in Lipa. She now takes care of a native horse rescued from Taal, a few chickens and ducks, and several purebred dogs. Malou Perez, who started the dog rescue cen-ter Pawssion Project in Bacolod in 2018, will share her experience in adopting aspins and puspins. She will also talk about how everyone can improve animal welfare in the country. Joining in their mission, Robinsons Malls is donat-ing to Pawssion Project’s spray and neuter program, plus Robinsons Galleria is sponsoring a senior shelter dog, Lolo Simba, who has yet to find its own forever home. CCP screens Team Pilipinas docu, holds talk with medalists

FILIPINO winning spirit and sportsmanship make the podium finish in the second installment of “WAGI! Celebration of Filipino Excellence,” a series of film screenings to pivot the re-opening of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and celebrate Filipino excellence. A special program and a moderated discussion with Hidilyn Diaz (Olympic Gold Medalist in weightlifting) and boxers Nesthy Petecio and Carlo Paalam (Olympic Silver medalists), and Eumir Marcial (Olympic Bronze medalist), will be held on Nov. 26, 7 p.m., at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater). The talk will be moderated by sportscasting veteran Noel Zarate. This will be followed by a screening of Team Pilipinas: The Atom Araullo Specials, a documentary by broadcast journalist Atom Araullo of GMA Network. The 58-minute film chronicles the journey of these Filipino athletes to sports success, highlighting the Philippines’ best Olympic performance since 1924 until the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
